Secure Residential Treatment

Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare offers intensive, trauma-informed treatment for young men, ages 12 to 17, who exhibit a variety of psychiatric and behavioral issues. Secure residential treatment takes place in a secure environment that encourages growth and self-responsibility. The program prepares these young men for return to their home, a less restrictive treatment environment or independent living.

Youth are treated by a team experienced with the different levels of the populations that we serve. Each resident is assigned a primary therapist for individual (three per week) and family therapy (one per week), a group therapist for groups (three per week), a primary nurse, case manager, psychiatrist and special education teacher.

Trauma Informed Care

Often, youth at Liberty Point have had exposure to trauma. We recognize the long-term effects of adverse childhood experiences and understand and respond to the effects of all types of trauma. We emphasize physical, psychological and emotional safety for our residents, helping them rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.

Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Applied Behavioral Analysis are infused into the design, staff training and programming throughout our residential programs.
