Liberty Point Behavioral Healthcare offers intensive, trauma-informed treatment for young men, ages 12 to 17, who exhibit a variety of psychiatric and behavioral issues.
The transitional living environment offers intensive programming in a less secure setting for residents who have completed the first two phases of treatment in the secure environment located at the main hospital. Youth in the community based residential programs are allowed the opportunity to exercise the skills gained in the secure phase of treatment while offering an increased opportunity for growth, self-responsibility, and life skills-training. The program prepares these young men for return to their home or independent living.
Youth are treated by a team experienced with the different levels of the populations that we serve. Each resident is assigned a primary therapist for individual (three per week) and family therapy (one per week), a group therapist for groups (three per week), a primary nurse, case manager, psychiatrist and special education teacher. Youth attend school daily at Liberty Point Academy.
